Vision

Ray of Hope Outreach Int’l Church Ministries, Inc., is a not-for-profit 501 ( c )3 organization founded for the purpose of serving as an on-site location for ecclesiastical activities and for the provision of tangible charitable services that meet the spiritual, social and physical needs of community individuals.

History

Ray of Hope Outreach Int’l Church Ministries, Inc., is a faith-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization that began in 1991 as Ray of Hope Ministries. The primary function of the ministry at that time was to provide spiritual enrichment to inner city communities. With a growing passion to be relevant and to reach the community for Christ, in 1999 the organization changed its name to Ray of Hope Outreach Ministries and expanded its services to include community outreach events, called “Taking It To The Streets.” These outreaches facilitated the annual distribution of school bags with school supplies, Thanksgiving baskets with fresh turkeys, Christmas presents and recreation activities to low income youth and families.

In 2001 the organization continued its expansion and began offering services that targeted the reading deficit, limited cultural exposure and low social adeptness of children living in shelters and low-income families. In 2005 the organization also launched Its Loving Touch Ministry which offers custodial care services to low-income, disabled, homebound adults at-risk for institutionalization.

In 2008 the growth continued and the organization formally became a Spirit-filled church.  Under the dedicated leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. M. DeMontagnac, dynamic and anointed preaching of the word, inspirational worship, teaching and discipleship and other forms of spiritual enrichment are offered on a weekly basis through the Ecclesiastical Division.  Charitable outreach services that rushes the tangible love of God to the needy are now provided through the Community Outreach Ministry Extension Division (C.O.M.E.), and in accordance with St. Luke 7:22, the poor is having the gospel preached to them.

In the years to come both the Ecclesiastical Division & Community Outreach Ministry Extension (C.O.M.E.) are committed to continuing Ray of Hope’s tradition of excellence by providing relevant and quality services that continue to address spiritual and social needs, in an effort to enrich lives and enhance communities.
